On Saturday 11th February, 2006 I was on my way home after dropping my husband off to work. My two little girls were with me and they were sitting at the front of the vehicle on the passenger's seat next to me. I believe that the older one stood up as I took a sharp turn at a corner.
She fell on the younger one and without even remembering that I was driving I turned to pull her off the baby. In a split second I realized that I had crashed into a huge wall fence. One of my baby girls had been thrown under the dash board and the other was screaming frantically. My head hit the windscreen and broke it. The front of the vehicle was totally smashed. I was taken to the hospital were the doctor said I was OK. Nothing seemed to be wrong with the children. From then, I started having a series of severe headaches. I had to be constantly taking pain killers. This went on for months, then gradually they started to wane. Sometime in August, when stepping out of my bathtub, I slid on a wet mat and hit my head on the wall, as I fell to the ground. The impact was in the same spot where my head had collided with the windscreen breaking it six months earlier. The headaches immediately resumed and became a real concern. I went to the doctor who sent me to have a CT scan.
When they did it the first time, the radiologist said that it wasn't clear and she wanted to be sure of what she was seeing so she gave me another appointment to return to do another CT scan but this time with contrast. I began to worry as to the reasons why the further scan had been ordered. I called my pastor and he encouraged me and told me that I was going to be alright. My husband and I were in constant prayer. At the next Praise Healing and Deliverance Service I was called up front and the church prayed for my healing. I went for the next scan and the radiologists told me that there was a space in my head that was larger than normal. They did not know why and wanted a more detailed scan hence I had to go to Antigua to do an MRI. That week at a church meeting the church passionately prayed for me again. I believed with all my heart that I was healed and that I would come back from Antigua with a good report. I went to Antigua and did the MRI and the results said that nothing was wrong with my head!
I thank God for His healing virtue on my life as the headaches have disappeared. I thank Him for His divine protection upon my life and the lives of my children. Though through my carelessness they were at the front unstrapped, they escaped the accident unharmed! Also, with the money I got from the insurance to repair the vehicle I was able to repair it and had enough left over to use as a down payment on a better one. What the devil meant for evil, God worked out for my good. I give Him all the Praise! I also thank Him for my Pastor and for the wonderful family of believers that I have at Lifeline!
God is indeed a God of miracles.
