Vision Statement

Lifeline Christian Academy aims at culturing children for transition into the primary, Secondary and Tertiary institutions of learning, who have developed a solid educational, social, emotional and spiritual foundation which will enable them to contribute successfully towards the overall development of themselves, their families and society by extension.

Mission Statement

Lifeline Christian Academy Pre-school section exists for the purpose of being stewards of the holistic development of the child in the area of early childhood education, by creating an environment that nurtures the potential in each child, thereby, laying a solid foundation for future growth and success.

School Data

The current roll is 80 and there are two classes – one for new entrants and the other for 2nd year students. Every year, the school graduates between 35 – 40 students in a formal graduation ceremony hosted by Lifeline Christian Fellowship. The school is registered as a center for Early Childhood Education and does it's very best to conform to National Education Standards.

Management

A church-oriented Board of Directors manages the school; while on staff for 2006/07, we have two teachers (Miss Tamisha Cognette & Miss Sharon Yarde), a cook (Miss Ridlyn Knight) and the principal (Miss Glenda James).

GOALS, OBJECTIVES AND PROJECTS

Present Goals:

   It is our intention, therefore to:

  Complete facilities for recreation, exercise and social interaction (play ground) through extension of the school and re-building of the Kitchen

  Additionally, we intend to extend the facilities to house an Adult Education Class in Basic Computer Literacy and a center for student’s research.

Developmental Projects:

  The Lifeline Christian Academy intends to undertake a number projects geared at improving teaching and learning at the school. The following are some of the development plans for the school:

  To provide a proper desk for each student, to be used for both working and eating.

  To have the floor covered with alphabet mats.

  To build a Recreation Hall and Canteen on the second floor of the building and also a Learning Resource Center, Library, Computer Lab and Classroom on the third floor. (None of these areas are under construction as yet).
